CID is a financially independent affiliate of CID at Washington University School of Medicine, which operates CID-developed research, adult clinic and graduate programs to benefit deaf and hard of hearing children and adults in St. Louis and around the world.

Teachers, pediatric audiologists and administrators in the CID 
school
serve on the faculty of the CID at Washington University School of Medicine Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences
(PACS).
PACS offers graduate degrees in deaf education, audiology and communication sciences.

CID school teachers and staff also collaborate with CID at Washington University School of Medicine researchers as well as with scientists at other universities conducting childhood deafness research.
